Yesterday, we touched on how to free up 5-10 minutes in your workday to create more content for your business. But now what? What should you do with your 10 minutes of newfound free time?
We’ve got you covered. Here’s a 4-step exercise to get you writing:
While you could potentially do this writing exercise on your own, it’s best (and less awkward) to do it with a friend or colleague. Find someone who’s also free during your same 10-minute writing window. Meet them in person or connect online.
Exchange the following simple question with your cowriting companion: “What are you going to write about today?” Then, take three minutes to reply.
Pencils down. Listen to your friend’s response and share yours. Then volley the next writing prompt question: “Can you tell me more, maybe in five short sentences?” Spend the next three minutes writing your response.
Exchange answers again and ask each other the final query: “Can you add two sentences to each of the five sentences to give me even more detail?” Then, get writing.
That’s it. Your 10 minutes are up and you now have the beginnings of a new piece of content!
