Why Don't I Send Thanksgiving Emails in March?

I’ve been pondering this question all day:  “Am I grateful only one day a year?”

It’s Thanksgiving Eve, and as any good marketer, I know I should send out a Thanksgiving-themed email marketing campaign. But I can’t. In good conscience, I just can’t because I’m not so certain that I AM fully grateful for all my clients, for all the work and for all the flexibility my job provides.

I don’t think this then means that the opposite is true…that I’m completely ungrateful and bitter. But I do know that I don’t wake up every morning—or even every other morning—thanking God for the opportunity to be self-employed at Keyhole Marketing and Joetography.

May I next year be able to honestly send thanksgiving in January, February, March, and throughout the year.
