It’s true what they say: Time sure flies by when you’re searching through your soul. (Or something like that.)
You may or may not have noticed but it’s been exactly 100 days since my last blog post. What’s been happening since then? Great question!
Mainly, I’ve spent the last few months examining myself and my business. Asking myself what I love and what I hate. What needs fixing? What needs forgetting? And at the end of that search, I decided to shift the direction of Keyhole Marketing to now focus on content marketing.
Another great question! Content Marketing’s all about generating valuable and relevant content—whether it be blogs, ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, videos, etc.—and consistently delivering them to the marketplace.
It’s not the traditional, salesy, how-can-i-get-you-in-a-car-today approach. Rather, it’s about regularly informing your prospects and customers with the goal of getting them ready to act. And it’s about keeping those buyers engaged long after the sale.
It shouldn’t be the only element of your marketing mix. But it will be the primarly element we now offer.
It’s not an entirely new path. In fact, when I looked back on the past two years of running Keyhole Marketing, content creation made up the bulk of the work produced. It’s just about choosing one path I love.
Content Marketing encapsulates my passion for writing. Am I the greatest author out there? Definitely not. But I’ve been writing for 20+ years in a variety of styles and for a multitude of industries. It’s just in my blood, and—based on my experience thus far—it appears to satisfy a tremendous need.
