In July 2016, we were contracted by Cedar Street Builders to take an architecture photography session at Indiana’s first Certified Passive House in Zionsville, Indiana, which happened to also be the builder’s home.

  • Minimal footprint
  • Aiming for Passive House Certification
  • LEED-H green building goals addressing areas such as water usage, local amenities access, minimal site disturbances, energy conservation, indoor air quality, and an innovative approach to design and construction

Final Amenities

  • Nearly Net Zero, all electric, no natural gas home
  • Rooftop Solar Energy System, designed to capitalize on the South’s heat
  • HVAC system 90% smaller than a traditional home’s
  • Passive House Institute US
    • Super insulation and airtight construction
    • Constant fresh air
    • High performance windows and doors
    • Lifetime carbon footprint reduction
  • LEED GOLD Certified
